Assembly & safety

Build it once, build it right

Five things to do before you open the box

  1. Measure the doorway and stairs.
  2. Clear a space twice the piece's footprint.
  3. Photograph the hardware bags.
  4. Find a stud where tall pieces will stand.
  5. Put the drill away; hand-tighten.

Why this exists

Practical guides, not a booking page

Assembly Desk is an independent publication. We explain how flat-pack furniture goes together and how to set up storage around it, with sources you can check. We don't take appointments or send installers, and we don't sell furniture.
